1st Established in 2000 in Sydney Australia for the sole purpose of helping
promote Australian independent artists, Sexbeat released a
28 band Punk/Rock/Ska-core compilation entitled "Skunk &
Disorderly".
This album received rave reviews worldwide including a top
star rating in Kerrang!
Other releases were many albums and compilations by The
Howlin MoonDoggies, a Punk-Rockabilly band that Shakir
managed and also played drums in.
During these years he has formed a massive network of
friends in the industry, Bands, Execs, Media.. You name it.
This network makes Sexbeat Records dangerous to the asshole
money counting major labels because we bring you REAL MUSIC
by REAL ARTISTS and you know the difference!
We then relocated to Melbourne for 6 years in
2002 where the live music scene was by far the best and now
we are based in Barcelona!
